Ramlow joins Baker Eye Care in Iron Mountain

Gracie Ramlow

IRON MOUNTAIN — Baker Eye Care of Iron Mountain has added a new optometrist to the clinic, Dr. Gracie Ramlow, who already is seeing and accepting patients.

Ramlow is an Iron Mountain native who graduated from Kingsford High School in 2013. She graduated with high honors in 2017 from Hope College, receiving a bachelor’s degree in psychology.

She then attended optometry school at Indiana University in Bloomington, graduating in May as a doctor of optometry. She received numerous academic and clinical honors while attaining her doctorate of optometry degree.

During optometry school, Ramlow was an active member of Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity, or VOSH, and worked as an associate instructor in geometric and visual optics.

“Gracie as a college student asked to shadow me and now eight years later she works with me, this time as Dr. Ramlow; it’s wonderful,” said Dr. Dane Baker, owner of Baker Eye Care.

Ramlow’s clinical interests include primary eye care, dry eye disease, soft and specialty contact lenses, and ocular disease management.

“I love this community,” Ramlow said. “My husband and I feel fortunate to be able to move back to Iron Mountain and provide care to the community that raised us.”

In her spare time, Ramlow enjoys hiking, camping, playing piano and spending quality time with her husband, Dustin.

Ramlow practices full scope optometry at Baker Eye Care, 1700 N. Stephenson Ave. in Iron Mountain. Regular and emergency appointments can be made by calling 906-774-6288.
