Iron County primary election results
CRYSTAL FALLS – The results of all the contested races in Iron County’s Aug. 5 primary election are listed below. Out of 9,508 registered voters in the county, 1,742 cast ballots for a 18.32 percent voter turnout.
District 1 county commissioner, Democrat: Patti Peretto, 111 votes (52.11 percent); Mark Polley, 101 votes (47.42 percent).
District 4 county commissioner, Democrat: Sharon Leonoff, 115 votes (68.86 percent); Raymond Kudwa, 52 votes (31.14 percent).
Camp Batawagama operation and improvement millage: yes, 1220 votes (74.12 percent); no, 426 (25.88 percent).
Bates Township road millage: yes, 128 votes (82.05 percent); no, 28 votes (17.95 percent).
Crystal Falls Township operation millage: yes, 140 votes (71.43 percent); no, 56 votes (28.57 percent).
Mansfield Township road millage: yes, 47 votes (83.93 percent); no, nine votes (16.07 percent).
Mastodon Township operation millage: yes, 94 votes (64.83 percent); no, 51 votes (35.17 percent).
Mastodon Township road millage: yes, 115 votes (79.86 percent); no, 29 votes (20.14 percent).
Stambaugh Township road millage: yes, 187 votes (75.71 percent); no, 60 votes (24.29 percent).
Iron River precinct 3 delegate, Republican: Alan Arcand, 27 votes (51.92 percent); Erik N. Koenig, 25 votes (48.08 percent).
