Two face B&E charges

WAKEFIELD – Two Upper Peninsula men were arrested Thursday for felony breaking and entering after copper thefts in the Carp Lake Township, White Pine area of Ontonagon County.

Michigan State Police Troopers from the Wakefield Post said search warrants were served on two separate residences in Gogebic County, police said.

During the search, a 25-year-old man from Ramsay and a 27-year-old man from Bessemer were arrested.

Bond was set at $10,000 at 10 percent. Both suspects posted bond and were released.

The investigation is continuing with the possibility that these suspects may be responsible for other thefts in the surrounding area, police said.

The Gogebic County Sheriff’s Department assisted in serving the search warrants and arresting the suspects.
