IM police seek public help to find missing man

Imran Kiani

IRON MOUNTAIN — Iron Mountain police would like the public’s assistance in locating a 47-year-old Iron Mountain man who left his home Friday to go to Green Bay, Wis., and hasn’t been heard from since.

Imran Kiani has issues with depression, which may be the reason he hasn’t contacted his family, Iron Mountain Director of Police and Fire Services Ed Mattson said in a news release.

Kiani may have been at the Krist Oil gas station in Stephenson about noon Saturday, Mattson said.

Kiani grew up in Iron Mountain and moved back to the area about a year ago, Mattson said.

He drives a burnt orange, two-door 1999 Toyota Solara with a Michigan license plate of BCQ-588. The front bumper of the vehicle has an old, unknown Ohio license plate.

Kiani was reported missing in December 2016 but was located that same day based on tips generated from media coverage.

Anyone with information on Kiani’s whereabouts can contact the Iron Mountain Police Department at 906-774-1234.
