Bells for hospice ceremony planned Thursday

ESCANABA — November is National Hospice Month. The “Ring Bells for Hospice” campaign is being launched throughout the state and local area to create awareness of hospice organizations and the hospice philosophy.

OSF Home Care & Hospice and UP Health System Home Care & Hospice will partner together, along with staff, volunteers and those who wish to join us, to ring bells in memory of those in our community who have passed under hospice care this year.

They will gather at Trinity United Methodist Church at 808 Carpenter Ave. in Iron Mountain at approximately 11:45 a.m. on Thursday. The program will begin at noon and last about 30 minutes.

The program includes prayer, a moment of silence at noon and singing. Organizers have asked churches in the community to ring their bells at noon.
