Ishpeming man dies from crash injuries
IRON MOUNTAIN — A 21-year-old Ishpeming man has died from injuries sustained in a two-car collision Sunday night on M-95 in Sagola Township, authorities said Thursday.
A southbound vehicle driven by a 66-year-old Channing man crossed the center line and collided with a northbound vehicle driven by the 21-year-old Ishpeming man, according to Michigan State Police troopers from the Iron Mountain post.
The Ishpeming man and a 21-year-old female passenger from Republic were taken by ambulance to U.P. Health System-Marquette. The Channing man was transported to Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain.
Alcohol and weather conditions are believed to be factors in the crash, which occurred at about 7:45 p.m. Sunday near the Marquette County line, troopers said. The crash is still under investigation and a report will be forwarded to the Dickinson County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
