The 2019 Rotary Club Car Plunge Contest has begun. Rotary club members placed the 1998 Saturn sedan on top the ice on the east side of the Chapin Pit on Saturday morning and entry forms for the fifth annual contest are in place throughout Iron Mountain and Kingsford. The previous winning times and dates are as follows: 2015 plunge, April 4 at 5:41 p.m.; 2016 plunge, March 17 at 1:57 p.m.; 2017 plunge, April 2 at 4:07 p.m.; 2018 plunge, April 26 at 10:40 a.m. More information and contest rules can be found at https://rotaryimk.org/car-plunge-contest/.
