IM woman injured in Norway area crash

IRON MOUNTAIN — A 66-year-old Iron Mountain woman was treated for injuries after a three-vehicle accident at 12:40 p.m. Thursday on U.S. 2 and Summit Road in Norway Township.

The woman, Nancy Raiche, was stopped at Main Street and U.S. 2 when her vehicle was hit by an eastbound vehicle driven by 84-year Teddy Gurgall of Hermansville, who lost control after being unable to avoid a collision with a vehicle that had entered the highway from Summit Road, said state police at the Iron Mountain post.

Raiche was transported by North Alert EMS to Dickinson County Memorial Hospital where she was treated and released.

The driver of the vehicle that entered U.S. 2 from Summit Road was Dennis St. Vincent, 65, of Loretto, troopers said.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash and it remains under investigation.

Assisting were the Dickinson County Sheriff Department, North Alert EMS and Norway Fire Department.
