Ralph woman seriously injured in house fire

IRON MOUNTAIN — A Ralph woman injured in a house fire Wednesday night in north Dickinson County has been flown to a Milwaukee medical center for further treatment, authorities said.

The fire was reported about 10:20 p.m. on County Road 426 in Ralph, according to a release from the Michigan State Police-Iron Mountain post.

All residents were able to get out of the home.

The woman, who was not named, was taken by ambulance to the Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain for treatment for her burns before being transferred to Milwaukee, according to the MSP.

No other injuries were reported. The house is considered a total loss.

The MSP was assisted by Nordic Ambulance, Beacon Ambulance and firefighters from both Breen and West Branch Townships.

The fire remains under investigation.
