IRON MOUNTAIN — Iron Mountain Fire Department was called Tuesday morning to a small fire at 1414 W. A St., where an electric heater caused minor damage.

Firefighters left the station about 11 a.m. on a report of smoke coming from a garage.

They quickly hosed down the fire, which began when an electric heater directed at frozen pipes scorched the surrounding structure.

The crew returned to the station about 12:30 p.m.
