FLORENCE, Wis. — Florence County Highway B in Aurora and Homestead will be closed to through traffic from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.

The closure will allow emergency responders to participate in a full-scale mass casualties mock bus crash.

The exercise will take place near the Aurora Free Church and Highway B will be blocked off to local traffic at Osterberg Parkway and Section Line Road. Emergency vehicles will be responding to the exercise from the staging area which will be located in parking area next to the NWTC Aurora Learning Center.

County highway officials will be setting up a detour on County Highway N and County Highway U.

Haulers are reminded that Highway U in Homestead from Highway B to Highway N is a Class B highway, so loaded semi-trucks will have to use U.S. 8 and U.S. 141.
