Community Project Day

Many students raked lawns for local families or businesses. From left in the top row are NCA alumni Jason Whitens and Brandon Grondine; in the bottom row are Izaac Lauscher, Cole Timblin, alumnus Tyler Gorzinski, Brien Gronmark and Leo Gorzinski.
Volunteers at Spalding Township Hall included Jim Moraska, Cheyenne Borucki, Ireleigh Finney, Mackenzie Holle, Jacob Gorzinski and Gabby Lucas.

North Central Junior/Senior High School recently participated in their annual Community Project Day. This day is traditionally the last day of school for seniors, and is a chance for all students in 6th-12th grade to give back to their community. Students went to more than 20 locations in the Hermansville/Powers area to complete service tasks for local families and businesses. These tasks included cleaning, painting, or yardwork, depending on the location’s needs. This annual day is completed with a cook-out lunch and an afternoon of fun activities.
