IRON MOUNTAIN — More than 40 artists will have some of their best creations on display at the 52nd Art For All juried show and sale Saturday at Iron Mountain’s City Park.

The Dickinson County Council for the Arts event is set for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine.

Artists from Wisconsin, Michigan and Illinois will offer many original works of art, including painting, photography, glass, wood, fiber, metal, jewelry, pottery, fabrics and sculpture.

“Some new things this year are unique soap and string artists,” said Lana Frantz, who is co-coordinating the annual event with Ricki Steigerwald and Joy Nasi.

Monetary awards will be given out to winning artists, Frantz said.

The public has a chance to win a $10 gas card for voting for their favorites as well.

Those who attend the event also will have a chance to win $50 to be spent at the show. Drawings will be at 11 a.m. and 1 and 2 p.m. Winners must be present.

In addition to the array of artwork, musicians will perform near the main pavilion. They include —

— 10:30 a.m.: Mark Harvath, singer/guitarist;

— 11 a.m.: Anna Anderson, singer;

— 11:30 a.m.: Christina and Catherine Pollard, singers;

— Noon: Adam Hayes, singer/guitarist;

— 12:30 p.m.: Better Than Nothing, band;

— 1 p.m.: Crystal Cayemberg, singer;

— 1:45 p.m.: Tim Driscoll, singer/guitarist;

— 2:30 p.m.: Chris Tafoya, singer/songwriter – Beatles tribute.

“The musical and artistic talent is so amazing,” Lantz said.

A hands-on craft area will be available for children from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 3 p.m. in the area next to the pavilion.

The show will include a silent auction as well to raise scholarship funds for senior art students. This year’s recipient was Anna Anderson, one of the featured performers at the event, Lantz said.

Tadych’s Family Market will provide a “better than ever picnic” to be served by Bishop Baraga Knights of Columbus.

Anyone with questions can track down a volunteer at the event, Lantz said, noting, “We will be the ladies with the garden hats.”

Created in 1967 by the late Magee Johnson, Art For All has gone through a number of venues, including Iron Mountain High School, Kingsford High School, Pine Mountain, Bay West and Lake Antoine Park.

But its “popularity with local residents remains today,” Lantz said.

The committee thanks the local businesses and people whose donations helped make the event possible.
