Sheriff releases monthly report

IRON MOUNTAIN — Dickinson County Sheriff Scott Rutter has issued his monthly report for May.

The road patrol served 239 civil process papers, investigated 85 complaints, handled 20 accidents, issued 34 citations and 131 verbal warnings, made 27 arrests — four of which were for outstanding warrants — completed 160 property checks, and made seven prisoner transports.

The correctional center had 108 bookings, with an average daily booking of 3.4 and an average daily population of 69.

The dispatch center handled 629 calls to 911; 2,766 non-911 calls; 1,546 calls for law enforcement service; 299 calls for ambulance service; and 83 calls for fire service.

Individuals assigned to the sheriff’s work van logged 424 hours in May working at the Dickinson-Iron Community Services Agency, Iron Mountain Cemetery Park, Breen Senior Center, Lake Antoine, Caring House, LIUNA Field, Crystal Lake, Great American Disposal, sheriff’s office and courthouse and Almost Home Animal Shelter.
