FLORENCE, Wis. — Children are invited to attend a “Tea Party” with the Florence County Fairest of the Fair and Junior Fairest of the Fair on Aug. 24.

Boys and girls ages 3 to 10 are invited to attend. There is no cost to participate but space is limited. RSVP at 906-282-9153 or florencecountyfair@hotmail.com with names and ages of children attending.

The theme for this year’s tea party will be based on movie “Secret Life of Pets.” Crafts, activities and snacks will all be based on something from the movie.

The party will take place from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Kids may dress up for the event, but casual clothing is alright as well.

Those in attendance will share a snack with the Fairest — lemonade and a treat. They will also receive a little bag of party favors.

There will be a craft activity, and a coloring activity. Kids will also get a special “tour” of the fair park and participate in one of magic shows.

The 116th annual Florence County Fair will be held Aug. 23-25.

Admission to the fair is $10 for ages 12 and older; $5 for seniors and fair exhibitors; and free for children 11 and under.
