Breitung school district fills part-time positions
KINGSFORD — The Breitung Township School Board has hired Bruce Tapio as a part-time industrial arts teacher at Kingsford High School and Elisa Hearn as a part-time secretary at Kingsford Middle School.
The board also set several advisor positions, including Jennifer Spleen and Kelly Bruns for the Kingsford Middle School yearbook; Leah Rankin as a before-school tutor; Lori Pirkola, Sarah Wagner, Mary Oberthaler, Mary Menard as after school tutors; Emily Yonke for Drama Club; Terri Rugg as the Saturday school supervisor; Jessica Garvaglia for the high school yearbook; Erin Yonke as senior class advisor; and Bill Bertoldi for Rockets for School.
The school district still needs a part-time speech pathologist.
The board accepted kitchen helper Tara Chartier’s resignation.
In other recent business, the board:
— Learned the parent breakfast at the middle school will be Sept 16-20.
— Heard that photo re-takes will be done Sept. 26 at the middle school and high school;
— Homecoming has been set for Oct. 4 against Wausau East;
— Scheduled a board workshop meeting for 7: 30 a.m. today and an athletic committee meeting to add or reduce sports for 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25.
