US 2 resurfacing near Vulcan to end Friday
VULCAN — Lane closures on U.S. 2 in the Vulcan area will be lifted Friday as a resurfacing project wraps up in Dickinson County.
Eastbound and westbound U.S. 2 has had intermittent lane closures from Vulcan to the Dickinson-Menominee county line since August while crews milled and resurfaced the roadway.
The lane closures will be lifted Friday morning pending final pavement markings, rumble strip installation and cleanup work.
The Michigan Department of Transportation invested about $2.7 million to resurface 9.5 miles of highway. The project is being completed on schedule.
