Library offers digital card for online access

CRYSTAL FALLS — The Crystal Falls Community Library is for card holders and, now, non-card holders.

Even though the library’s physical doors are shut, the public can sign up for a free, temporary digital library card that gives access to thousands of eBooks, digital audiobooks, magazines, movies, language learning tools and more. It is available to anyone who lives in the city of Crystal Falls, Crystal Falls Township and Mansfield Township who does not currently have a card. Even those now “blocked” at the library due to fines can use this service.

To register, go to http://joomla.uproc.lib.mi.us/CrystalFalls/ and click on the register button. After registering, make sure to write down the new account number, which will be needed, along with a PIN the person creates, to access the library’s digital resources.

Once the library reopens, those who register digitally are encouraged to come in for an actual library card.

These digital services are already available for everyone who has a Crystal Falls District Library card. That card number and PIN are needed to access them. Those who do not know that information can email the library at cflib@uproc.lib.mi.us to get their card number and PIN.
