IRON MOUNTAIN — The Dickinson County Road Commission has several paving projects planned this week in Breitung Township, including Swanson Road beginning today and Lucas Drive and Four Season Road beginning Friday.

On Pine Mountain Road, preparatory work and repaving of the areas that were excavated for sinkhole repairs just south of Pine Mountain Resort is scheduled for Thursday and Friday.

Expect delays and limited access at times on Swanson Road, Lucas Drive and Four Seasons Road, said Jim Harris, the commission’s managing director.

Pine Mountain Road will be closed beginning at 6 a.m. Thursday through Friday evening or Saturday morning.

“Plan on the same detour as was recently in place for the sinkhole repairs,” Harris said.

There will also be a closure of Habammer Road for railroad crossing reconstruction performed by CN Railroad. This closure will be in place from Wednesday morning through Friday evening.

Depending on weather and other factors, the schedule is tentative with further notices to be issued as necessary.
