FAFSA training sessions set

ESCANABA — The Bay College Financial Aid Department will host FAFSA completion nights to assist parents and seniors in completing the application.

The FAFSA — or Free Application for Federal Student Aid — is the application for federal financial aid. The state of Michigan FAFSA priority deadline is March 1.

Families can come to Bay College’s HUB on the main campus in Escanaba (use the Besse Center entrance) to room 870 on Jan. 27 or Feb. 1 for assistance. The workshops will begin at 6 p.m. Eastern time. Masks are required while on campus.

Please bring the following information for both the parent and student: FSAID (username and password for the FAFSA created at fsaid.ed.gov), Social Security number, driver’s license, federal income tax return, W-2s and other records of money earned, bank and investment records (if applicable), and records of untaxed income.

To learn more about the FAFSA or to start filling out the application, go to fafsa.gov. For more information regarding the workshop or questions about FAFSA, contact the Bay College Financial Aid Office at 906-217-4020 or financialaid @baycollege.edu.
