Dickinson sheriff issues report for July

IRON MOUNTAIN — Dickinson County Sheriff Scott Rutter has issued his monthly report for July.

The road patrol served 135 civil process papers, investigated 146 complaints, handled 15 accidents, issued 22 citations and 127 verbal warnings, made 16 arrests, three of which were for outstanding warrants, completed 146 property checks, and made four prisoner transports as well as a mental health transport to Rhinelander, Wis.

The correctional center had 79 bookings, with an average daily booking of 2.5 and an average daily population of 54.

The dispatch center handled 727 911 calls, 3,045 non-911 calls, 1,875 calls for law enforcement service, 520 calls for ambulance service, and 63 calls for fire service.

Twenty-one individuals were assigned to the work van in May, totaling 114 hours at the sheriff’s office and courthouse, Lake Antoine, Pine Mountain Veterans Memorial, Goulette Park, Sawyer Lake, HOPE Christian School, Michigan State Police post, Dickinson-Iron Community Services Agency, Gus Macker basketball, Holy Spirit School and trash pickups on U.S. 2 in Norway and Baler Drive in Quinnesec.
