This week’s Back to the Present, provided by the Menominee Range Historical Museum in Iron Mountain, highlights a Niagara ballfield and the wooden steps that once led up to the field.
The 1908 unused real photo postcard, identified as “Niagara’s Up, Niagara, Wis.,” shows the Niagara baseball team in action.
The field is at the intersection of Forest Alley and Brook Street on top of the hill.
At right is a view today of the baseball field, which still has part of the original bleacher structure.
