DNR staffers to answer viewer questions live on ‘Ask the DNR’ Thursday

MARQUETTE — Upper Peninsula staffers from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources will appear live on television at 8 p.m. Eastern time Thursday night to answer viewer questions on “Ask the DNR” on WNMU-TV13.

Panelists will include Cory Kovacs, fisheries, Lake Superior unit manager, Newberry; Don Brown, wildlife biologist, Shingleton; and Scott Pankow, conservation officer, Chippewa County.

The hour-long program is hosted by Mike Settles. The show will also be simulcast on WNMU-FM/Public Radio 90. Viewers and radio listeners will be able to participate in the program by submitting questions to the panel via the phone number or email address.

To phone questions in during the live telecast, call 1-800-227-9668. Questions may also be submitted via email at dtv13@nmu.edu.

Viewers are reminded to leave their first name, city and phone number when calling in questions. Those questions not answered on the air will be answered by DNR staffers in returned phone calls after the program.

“Ask the DNR” will be on its winter hiatus after Thursday’s broadcast until April 2.
