June L. Reed

A long term resident of Mt. Dora, June was an active member of P.E.O., supporting an all women’s university: Cottey College in Missouri.

She was also involved in Women’s Circles in the Methodist Church.

She was born to Fred W. Sutter and Helen Cardinal Sutter on June 8, 1925. She graduated from high school in Wakefield in 1943, then attended business college in Green Bay, Wis.

She was employed in a clerical position with the Hanna Mining Company in northern New York State. She met her husband John F. Reed there and was married in July 1946.

She was preceded in death by her husband; sisters, Helen Jane Moller, Dorothea Mae Dow, Elsie Johnson; and son, Peter.

June was a consummate home-maker. She lived her life treasuring time spent on Fortune Lake in Crystal Falls.

She leaves behind sons, Fred F. (Marie) Reed of Dallas, Russell D. (Trevina) Reed of Mt. Dora; daughters, Rebecca J. (Wayne) Armbruster of Granbury, Texas, Elizabeth R. (Bruce) West of Tavares, Fla.; and stepson, Leonard R. (Sandra) Reed of Kingsford.

Additionally she was loved by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
