MARION PAUPORE LECLAIR

VULCAN — Marion “Dolly” Paupore LeClair, 92, of Vulcan, died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain.

She was born Oct. 31, 1925, in Kingsford, one of 10 children and the daughter of the late Arthur and Clara (Streubing) Plante. Dolly graduated from Kingsford High School in 1943.

She married John “Jack” Paupore on Oct. 12, 1946, in Iron Mountain. He preceded her in death on Feb. 26, 1981.

Dolly married Don LeClair in October 1989 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Norway. He preceded her in death on May 30, 2014.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Norway.

Dolly enjoyed knitting afghans and making rugs, crafting, playing various card games like smear and cribbage, and was even in a card club in Kingsford for many years. She was passionate about recycling.

Dolly is survived by her sons, Jeffrey (Lynn) Paupore of Arizona, Daniel (Susan) Paupore of Vulcan, David Paupore of Norway and Mark (Kitty) Paupore of Vulcan; step-daughters, Marilyn LeClair of Norway and Kathy (Mark) Faulds of Port Washington, Wis.: grandchildren, Kaitlin, Richard, Andy, Alex (Annie) Paupore, Derek (Sarah) Paupore, and Eric (Elizabeth) Paupore, Kristin (Brian) Kass, Scott (Paula) Conery, Kelly (Dan) Cram, Erica Swick, Jason Richtig and Michelle (Brandon) Lee; many great-grandchildren; brother, Howard (Midge) Plante of Kingsford; brother-in-law, John (Judy) LeClair of Cedar Grove, Wis.; sisters-in-law, Virginia Coombs of Norway and Barbara (Doug) Bezier of Green Bay, Wis.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, John “Jack” Paupore; and granddaughter, Nicole Skog.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated 9 a.m. Saturday, June 9 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Norway, with Fr. Timothy Ekaitis presiding.

Interment will be held at the Quinnesec Cemetery.
