Rose A. Barglind

IRON MOUNTAIN — Rose A. Barglind, 95, of Quinnesec, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at Dickinson County Healthcare System.

She was born Sept. 30, 1922, in Escanaba, daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Gallagher) McCauley. Rose married Milton Barglind on March 22, 1947, in Menominee. Following their marriage, they moved to Quinnesec. Milton preceded her in death on Dec. 31, 2006.

Survivors include four sons, Brian (Ellie) Barglind of Kingsford, Neil (Roseanna) Barglind of Quinnesec, Barry (Denise) Barglind of Breitung Township, and Kevin (Mary) Barglind of Iron Mountain; one daughter, Illana (Randy) Mashak of Hartwell, Ga.; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband Milton, Rose was preceded by one brother, Michael McCauley; two sisters, Patricia Dugener and Mary Molin; three brothers-in-law, Miles Dugener, Jack Molin and Leonard Nordman; and by two sisters-in-law, Pearl McCauley and Mildred Nordman.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 3 at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. Prayers will be recited 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

The funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at American Martyrs Catholic Church in Kingsford. Rev. Fr. Joseph Gouin will officiate.

Burial will be in Breitung Township Cemetery, Quinnesec.
