James R. Parolini

Las Vegas — James R. Parolini, 74, passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, in Las Vegas. He was born on Aug. 28, 1944, in Bremerton, Wash., son of the late Elmer and Elizabeth (Cologna) Parolini.

During his early years in Washington he was an avid rock climber in the Olympic Mountains, and made 21 first ascents, giving him the privilege of naming those peaks. Jim began his collegiate education at Olympic College with a major in accounting and completed his education in Southern California with a degree in accounting and certification in computer programming. Jim served in the US Army and was stationed in Germany.

James is survived by family in Kettle Falls, Wash., and Franklin, Tenn.

He is survived by three siblings: Ken (Rosario) Parolini of New Jersey, Joseph (Brenda Blake) Parolini of Arizona, and Mary (Jerry) Romitti of Iron Mountain.

Burial will be in the Quinnesec Cemetery at a later date.

Deacon Don Christy will celebrate his life with a private graveside service.

The family has entrusted the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home with the arrangements.
