LOUIS C. MENARD

HERMANSVILLE — Louis C. Menard, 90, of Hermansville, passed away on Friday, April 20, 2018, at his home.

He was born in Hermansville on Dec. 24, 1927, son of the late Cyril and Blanch (Normand) Menard.

On Oct. 16, 1948, Louis married the love of his life, Hilda Maule, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Hermansville. They celebrated 69 years of marriage.

Louis proudly served in the United Stated Army from March 25, 1946 until he was honorably discharged on Sept. 27, 1947. He received the World War II Victory Medal.

Louis loved golfing, going to camp, hunting, wintering in Arizona with Hilda, and especially attending his great-grandchildren’s sporting events. He was a member of the Hermansville Senior Center and the Hermansville American Legion Floriano Stecker Post 340.

Louis is survived by his wife: Hilda, son: Thomas (Mary) Menard, daughters: Linda (Joseph) Poupore, and Carol (Charles) Anderson, eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, siblings: Linus Menard and Sandra (Eugene) Arduin, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson: Jeremy Poupore, great-grandson: Cameron Poupore, and brother: Leonard Menard.

Friends may call on from 2 to 4 p.m. Central time Thursday, April 26 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Hermansville.

Mass of Christian Burial will follow visitation at the church with Fr. Jacek Wtyklo officiating. A meal will follow mass at the Hermansville American Legion.

Burial will be in Meyer Township Cemetery.
