CHANNING — Margie Lou Wilson, 89 of Channing, passed away, Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at University of Florida Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Fla. She was born March 14, 1929, in Brohard, W.Va.., daughter of the late Harold and Chessie (Busch) Robinson.

Margie grew up in West Virginia. After graduation she traveled to Washington DC, where she worked for the FBI, as a file clerk. She met her future husband, Robert A. Wilson Sr., a United States Navy sailor, and was married in Washington DC, November 29, 1947.

Margie became a housewife and mother after the birth of their first child. She was a devoted mother who lived for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Margie enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, canning, traveling and playing games with her family. She was a member of the Eastern Star, and the First Methodist Church of Iron Mountain. She attended services at the Grace Presbyterian Church of Sagola.

She is survived by five of her six children, Robert A. Wilson Jr. of Beverly Hills, Fla., Sharon (Lawrence) Broeders of Citrus Springs, Fla., Joyce (Derle) De Los Santos of Crystal Falls, Barbara Wilson of Azerbaijan, Karen Larson of Iron Mountain; her sister, Ava Cantwell of Belmont, W.Va.; brother, Grant (Brenda) Robinson of Hendersonville, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren, Robert A. (Cynthia) Wilson III of Frederick, Md., Michael (Samantha) Wilson of Inverness, Fla., John E. (Elvia) Schmidt IV of Del Rio, Texas, Yvonne (Edward) Nausieda of Ada, Mich., Danielle (Edward) Theisen of Kingsford, Linette (Demetrix) King of Monroe, N.C., Kenneth Roell of Goldsboro, N.C., Brandon Roell of Omaha, Neb., Andrew (Dana) Roell of Marquette, Jessica (David) Lesandrini of Crystal Falls, Melanie (Bryan) Richardson of Iron Mountain; two step-grandchildren. Katie (Tyler) Hill of Reedsburg, Wis., Corey (Brittany) De Los Santos of Gig Harbor, Wash.; 15 great-grandchildren, Ella and Rory Wilson of Frederick, John E. Schmidt V, Erik Schmidt and Maximus Schmidt of Del Rio, Arielle and Sierra Nausieda, of Ada, Amber, Gage and Luke Theisen of Kingsford,

Olivia Haynes of Monroe, Autumn Lesandrini of Crystal Falls, Annette Richardson of Iron Mountain; four step-great-grandchildren, Kaija, Annika, Hanna and Leo Hill of Reedsburg. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and cousins.

Margie was preceded in death, by her husband, Robert A. Wilson Sr.; her daughter, Catherine Annette Roell; and daughter-in-Law, Sue A. Wilson.
