GLADSTONE — Local memorial services for Daniel M. Morley, who owned and enjoyed time at his “M-T Nest” cottage on Lake Louise (Hamilton Lakes), in Vulcan, have been announced.
Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 17, from 2 p.m. Central time until the time of services at 3:30 p.m. at First Lutheran Church in Gladstone. A meal and fellowship will follow in the church hall.
An attorney, Dan, died Sunday morning, July 22, 2018, at his home in Traverse City. He was 56 when he succumbed to long-term complications from throat cancer first diagnosed in 2015.
In addition to his wife, Betsy, survivors include a son and proud Michigan State graduate Sam; daughter and University of Michigan graduate student Madelyn; his parents, Willard and Genevieve Morley of Gladstone; brothers, Randy Morley of Reese, Mich. and Gary Morley of Dayton, Ohio; sister, Lori Morley Sharon of Gladstone; parents-in-law Dick and Peggy (whom he irreverently called “Big Peg”) Bryson of Hamilton Lakes, Vulcan; sisters-in-law, Heidi (Todd) Teafoe of Norway, Holly Adcox and Jessica (Greg) Stewart also of Hamilton Lakes; and numerous nieces and nephews.
