NORWAY — Randall J. Champagne, 76, of Norway, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Wis.

He was born March 16, 1942, in Iron Mountain, son of the late Roland and Rosetta (Harris) Champagne. Randy graduated from Niagara High School in 1960 and was a lifelong resident of the area. He married the love of his life, Sharon Luba on May 15, 1965, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Iron Mountain.

Randy was a devoted husband and loved time spent with Sharon. Over their 40 years of marriage they especially enjoyed dancing and taking family vacations with their three sons. Sharon preceded Randy in death on Oct. 13, 2005.

Randy was employed at the Niagara Paper Mill where he worked his way into a management position over a 39-year career, retiring in 1999. He was a long time member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

Randy was an avid sports fan and had a true passion for baseball and softball. He followed the Packers, Brewers and Badgers. He also enjoyed fishing, listening to music and could always be depended upon for an accurate weather report.

Randy was proud to have “walked around the world,” which he accomplished over a 22-year span of walking and logging every mile.

Randy is survived by three sons, David (Kristine) Champagne of Quinnesec, Chris (Sherri) Champagne of Niagara, Wis., and Drew (Mary Heather) Champagne of Niagara; 10 grandchildren, Marjorie (Dan) McDougal, Nathan (Katie) Hebert, Bradley (Beth) Champagne, Heather Champagne, Tyler Rose (Trevor) Ellison, Chase (Alex) Champagne, Noelle and Elijah Champagne and Logan and Lexi Champagne; and great-great grandchildren, Alex, Cole, Gavin, Tanner, Kaya, Charlotte, Sadie and Carter.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity United Methodist Church in Iron Mountain.

Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. at the church.

Rev. Geri Hamlen will officiate. Burial will be in the Niagara Cemetery.
