IRON MOUNTAIN — Mitchell J. Gagne, 25, passed away Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018, at UP Health System-Marquette, surrounded by his family and friends, as a result of a severe asthma attack brought on by pneumonia.

Mitchell was born on Oct. 8, 1992, in Escanaba, son of Stephanie Faught and Ronald Gagne. He attended North Central School. Mitchell had two beautiful children in 2012 and 2014 and on June 16, 2018, he married the love of his life, Amanda Grailer.

Mitchell loved spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed many hobbies which included camping, hunting, fishing, working on cars and shooting guns. Mitchell could often be seen in his garage working on his next project car with his friends and children, or out driving around fast in those cars with his wife.

He is survived by his wife, Amanda Gagne; two sons, Remington and Logan Gagne; his mother and step-father, Stephanie and Raymond Broeders; his father and step-mother, Ronald and Kristine Gagne; paternal grandfather, Eli Gagne; maternal grandparents, Jean and Larry Faught; five sisters and one brother, Chelsey (Geno) Serratti, Spencer (Cassandra) Gagne, Liberty (Ryan) Dabb, Hailey Gagne and Eboney Gagne; two step- sisters, Patricia (Brandon) Kertscher, and Kimberly (Jesse) Nevil; numerous nieces and nephews; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Mitchell is further survived by his closest friends who were like brothers, Lucas Joslin, Trey Gurgall, John Dausey, Tim Parrett, Dillon Heikkinen and Steven Gurgall.

Mitchell was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Joyce Gagne in 2017.

There will be a benefit and celebration of Mitchell’s life at 11 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 30 at the Sportsman’s Club in Hermansville.
