NORWAY — Virginia L. Lindgren, 84, of Norway, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2019, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital with her family by her side.

She was born on Aug. 31, 1934, in Beecher, Wis., the daughter of the late Milo and Annabell (Rother) Dorwin.

On July 12, 1952, she married Sidney Lindgren in White Rapids, Wis. He preceded her in death on April 8, 2015.

She married Robert Adams on Sept. 1, 2018, at Evangelical Covenant Church in Norway.

Virginia was a school teacher at Beecher-Dunbar-Pembine Schools and retired after 25 years of teaching. She loved singing, ceramics, quilting, painting, playing scrabble, planting flowers reading and watching birds.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Adams; two sons: Randy (Jane) Lindgren and Carl (Debbie) Lindgren, step-children Karen, Wayne, Cheryl, Elaine, Amy and Andy; five grandchildren: Dustin, Jeremy, Travis, Matthew and Tara, eight step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, two great-great-granddaughters and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, Jan. 14 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Ortman Funeral Home in Norway.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will take place in the Pembine Cemetery in the spring.
