James W. Jafolla

IRON MOUNTAIN — James W. Jafolla, 71, of Iron Mountain, passed away peacefully at home, with his loving wife at his side, on Friday, March 22, 2019. He was born on May 17, 1947, in Iron Mountain, son of the late James Ralph Jafolla and Ruth (Harding) Petrick.

James grew up and attended school in Iron Mountain, prior to moving to Hermansville, where he graduated from Hermansville High School, Class of 1965. On Aug. 4, 1967, James was united in marriage with Donna Tomasi at Trinity United Methodist Church in Iron Mountain.

James was a skilled tool and die maker in the surrounding area for 35 years before he and his wife moved to Sheridan, Wyo. There, he worked for 15 years in public service as an application/design engineer and safety officer for the rehabilitation of handicapped clients.

James loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also had a lifelong passion for motorcycle riding.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Donna Jafolla; three daughters, Jeannie (Todd) Otto of Shawano, Wis., Kristine Koss of Laramie, Wyo., and Andrea (Justin) Everts of Beverly Hills, Fla.; one son, Jesse (DeAnna) Jafolla of Williston, N.D.; seven grandchildren, Abbie Koss, Charlie Koss, Sophia Everts, Olivia Everts, Victoria Everts, Anthony Jafolla and Audrey Jafolla.

James is also survived by two sisters, Bonnie LeGrave and Sherry Wester; as well as five brothers, Bobby Petrick, Greg Petrick, Jeff Petrick, Mike Petrick and Terry Jafolla.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded by one brother, Mark Petrick.

Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, March 29 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Iron Mountain. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church. Pastor Geri Hamlen will officiate.

Lunch will be served from noon to 1 p.m. at the church. Burial will take place in Cemetery Park, Iron Mountain.
