Pear V. McDonald

CRYSTAL FALLS — Pearl V. McDonald, 78, of Crystal Falls, passed away Monday, March 18, 2019, at Florence Health Services in Florence, Wis.

She was born Jan. 14, 1941, in Hermansville, daughter of the late Glen and Beatrice Rose (Disatell) Schoen.

Pearl grew up in Hermansville and attended school there. In 1971 she moved from Sagola to Crystal Falls.

Pearl was a glue clamp operator at Foley Martens in Kingsford for 20 years. She was united in marriage to William “Jim” McDonald. He preceded her in death. Pearl had many hobbies but raising her family was most important to her.

Survivors include two sons, Patrick (Sherry Halverson) Chipman of Florence and James (Paula Haney) McDonald of Crystal Falls; two daughters, Cheryle Chipman of Alpha and Michelle Chipman of California; two brothers, Clyde (Jean) Schoen of Hermansville and Lyle Schoen of Hermansville; one sister-in-law, Jean Schoen of Hermansville; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her husband Jim, Pearl was preceded in death by one brother, Floyd Schoen.

Visitation will be 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, March 30 at the Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home in Crystal Falls.

A memorial service will follow at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Pastor Dave Johnson will officiate.
