Virginia O. “Ginny” Pietrantonio

IRON MOUNTAIN — Virginia O. “Ginny” Pietrantonio, 86, of Iron Mountain, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at the Iron County Medical Care Facility in Crystal Falls. She was born Aug. 8, 1932, in Ingalls, daughter of the late Frank and Florence Allgeyer. Ginny grew up in Ingalls and was a graduate of Stephenson High School, Class of 1950.

On June 28, 1952, she was united in marriage to Nick Pietrantonio.

Ginny worked as agent cashier at the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center until her retirement. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, AARP and the Oak Crest Golf Club.

Ginny enjoyed flowers, playing cards, golfing, going to the casino, cooking and baking, and wintering in Sun City, Ariz. She especially enjoyed the time spent with family and friends.

Survivors include her loving husband of 66 years, Nick; three sons, Bruce Pietrantonio of Milwaukee, Wis., Nick Pietrantonio of Las Vegas and Iron Mountain, and Dean Pietrantonio of Norway; one daughter, Tina Pietrantonio of Iron Mountain; one sister, Doris Daniels; three grandchildren, Nicole (Brandon) Luterbach, Nick Robert Pietrantonio and Jamie Pietrantonio; one great-grandson, Brandon Pietrantonio; special friend, Jack Wright of Norway; and by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Ginny was preceded in death by two sisters, Gladys Reitmeyer and Carol LeMieu; and five brothers, Curtis Allgeyer, Sam Allgeyer, Raymond Allgeyer, Douglas Allgeyer and Marvin Allgeyer

Visitation will be from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, May 21 at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain. Prayers will be recited at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

A Memorial Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Iron Mountain. Msgr. James Kaczmarek will officiate.

Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Ginny’s memory.
