Gloria A. McCauslin
NIAGARA, Wis. — Gloria A. McCauslin, 94, of Niagara, formerly of Spread Eagle, Wis., passed away on Friday, July 5, 2019, at Maryhill Manor in Niagara. Gloria was born July 26, 1924, to the late Harry and Jenny (Van Der Meulen) Larson.
She married Robert McCauslin on March 13, 1948, in Chicago. Together Gloria and Robert raised five children. Gloria devoted herself to being a homemaker, although she did work outside the home for The Daily News for 10 years in the late 1980s and through the 1990s. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, especially baking sweet treats. She loved watching cooking shows, old westerns and Lifetime Channel movies. She also enjoyed going to the farmers market in Iron Mountain on Saturday mornings and to Gina Marie’s restaurant in Spread Eagle for family dinners.
Gloria leaves her daughters, Roberta (Herb) Samme of Spread Eagle, Donna (Fred) Scholpp, Kathleen (Donald) Bandur and Candace Lawson; 8 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren, with one due in November.
Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; son, Richard McCauslin; and grandson, Eric Palmisano.
A Memorial Service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, July 15 at Maryhill Manor Nursing Home. Her final resting place will be at Glen Oaks Cemetery in Hillside, Ill.
