LORETTO — Bernard Rossato, 93 of Loretto, died Friday, Sept. 13, 2019, at Evergreen Assisted Living in Norway.

He was born on Aug. 11, 1926, in Crystal Falls, son of the late Orazio and Theresina (Mauro) Rossato.

Bernard married Beverly Harris on Sept. 12, 1953, at St. Mary St. Joseph Church in Iron Mountain. She preceded him in death on Dec. 29, 2017.

Bernard and his wife owned and operated Z & R Electric for over 40 years.

He was a member of St. Barbaras Church in Vulcan, enjoyed walking around Loretto, hunting, fishing, golfing, bowling, cribbage and going to Bob’s Camp. Bernard loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Bernard is survived by his daughters, Denice (Jerry) Miller of Wausaukee, Wis., and Marybeth Tanguay of Faithorn; grandchildren, Brynn Schultz, Patrick (Donna) Tanguay, Kurt (Amy) Tanguay; great-grandchildren, Madelynn, Easton and Ella Schultz, Shane and Paul Swanson, and Cooper Tanguay; brother, Robert (Georgine) Rossato of Norway; brother-in-law, Jim (Diane) Harris of Florida; sisters-in-law, Helen Rossato of Vulcan and Marilou Rossato of Iron Mountain; many nieces and nephews; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Peter Tanguay; sister, Gloria; brothers, Mario and Dofo Rossato; and sister-in-law, June Rahoi.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 19 at St. Barbaras Church in Vulcan.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with Fr. Timothy Ekaitis presiding.

Interment will follow at the Norway Township Cemetery.
