NIAGARA — Doris A. Patterson, 90, formerly of Niagara, passed away Friday, Sept. 13, 2019, at her daughter’s home.

She was born July 11, 1929, in Keosauqua, Iowa, daughter to the late James and Jessie (Binkley) Brown.

Doris married Herbert Patterson, Aug. 24, 1948, at the Union Protestant Church parsonage in Niagara. He preceded her in death on Nov. 4, 2005. They resided for over 50 years in the town of Niagara; they moved to Pembine in December 1999. She was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church of Niagara.

Doris enjoyed gardening, cooking, farming, puzzles, games, her family and her special cat, Clancy.

She is survived by one son, Michael Patterson (Mary Spera) of Niagara; two daughters, Ember (Rick) Rickaby of McAllister, Myrna (James) Malone of Hermansville; six grandchildren, Scott Rickaby of Hubertus, Wis., Ricky (Nicole) Rickaby of Crivitz, Wis., Benjamin (Lisa) Patterson of Niagara, Desiree (John) Gray of Mount Horeb, Wis., Christopher (Brianna) Patterson of Green Bay, Wis., Sara Walters of Niagara; 15 great-grandchildren, Austin, Taylor, Nicholas, Alastair, Callum, Connor, Brooke, Aengus, Abain, Akir, Alec, Raquel, Natalie, Lily and Jorah; many step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren; one brother, Carl (Sandy) Brown of Pembine; seven sisters, Barbara Anderson of Pembine, Viola Walker of Wausaukee, Wis., Ramona Barker of Florida, Lily (Chet) Larsen of Florence, Wis., Laverne Larsen of Kenosha, Wis., Elizabeth (Dave) Salerno of Kenosha, Gail Pogue of Kenosha; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband Herbert, Doris is preceded in death by four brothers, James Lee, and Robert, Kenneth and Raymond Brown; and one granddaughter-in-law, Christine.

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18 at Riverside United Methodist Church in Niagara. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the church.

Pastor Henry Yoap will officiate.

Burial will be in Niagara Cemetery.
