Ronald B. "PeeWee" Hoffmann

NEW FRANKEN, Wis. — Ronald B. “PeeWee” Hoffmann, 75, of New Franken, passed away Sunday, Nov. 10, 2019, at his home.

He was born April 11, 1944, in Milwaukee, son of the late Arthur and Laura (Mastenbrook) Hoffmann. Ron grew up in Milwaukee and graduated from Custer High School, Class of 1962. While in school he enjoyed and participated in football, track and baseball. Ron furthered his education in 1968, receiving his diploma for Complete Real Estate and in 1971 receiving his diploma for Data Processing and Computer Training.

Ron was employed at Teledyne Motors in Milwaukee for most of his life. He had also worked at Harley Davidson, System Control and Boss Plow.

In 1966, Ron was united in marriage to Mary Dixon. His path then crossed with his current wife, Karen Smith in November 1978, who he married on July 20, 1991, in Milwaukee.

Some of Ron’s favorite past times included hunting, golfing, fishing, and spending time with his family and loved ones. Later in life, he had taken joy in gardening.

Survivors include his loving wife, Karen Hoffmann and their three children, Lance Hoffmann, New Franken, Wade Hoffmann, New Franken, and Desiree (Brody) Millan, Armstrong Creek, Wis.; his first wife, Mary Dixon, West Bend, Wis., and their three children, Shelly (James) Kilgour, Scotland, Sherry (John Gaspardo) Hoffmann, West Bend, Rick (Jean) Hoffmann, Port Washington, Wis.; grandchildren, Austin Helm, Ella and Ruby Hoffmann, McKenna, Lilly and Savannah Hoffmann; and by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his brother, Arthur Jr.; and by three sisters, Dorothy Uhlenberg, Beverly Hoffmann and Laureen Hoffmann.

Ron’s family would like to extend a thank you to the Aurora BayCare Oncology and Palliative team for the compassionate care provided to Ron by Dr. Brook Estves over the past several years.

Also, a heartfelt thank you to his Heartland Hospice team, Leah, Jenny Rae and Chaplain John for the exceptional care they provided.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7 at Fence Union Church, Fence, Wis.

A celebration of life will follow at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Pastor Tim Smith will officiate.
