Edward “Ed” Erickson

DUNBAR, Wis. — Edward “Ed” Erickson, 85, of Dunbar, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2019, at The Bay at Nu Roc. He was born in Lincoln, Wis. on Aug. 29, 1934, son of the late Nels and Ellen (Johnson) Erickson. Ed graduated from Pembine High School and enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He received an honorable discharge in June 1958.

Ed was united in marriage to Patricia. They lived in Racine, Wis., until moving to Dunbar in 1974. Ed was a great athlete and loved watching sports and tending to his garden. He was a world traveler and loved his pet dogs.

Ed is survived by his two daughters, Judith (Dennis) Plemel and Ann (Robert) Anderson; four grandchildren, Amanda, Nicole, Kayla and Edward; a great-granddaughter, Molly B., and another on the way; three siblings, Doris Bousley, and Robert and Neil Erickson; and his pet dog, Gigit.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia; an infant daughter; and brothers, Ray and Jim.

Family and friends may call on Monday, Dec. 16, at the Dunbar Community Bible Church from 10 a.m. until the time of his service at 11 a.m.

Full military honors will be provided by the Pembine American Legion. Burial will be in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Dunbar this spring.
