KINGSFORD — Bruce V. Bray, 75, of Kingsford, passed away peacefully at his son’s home in Elgin, Ill., on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2020.
He was born on Aug. 23, 1944, in Laurium, son of the late John and Viola (Poquette) Bray.
He graduated from DePaul Academy, Chicago, Class of 1962.
Bruce married Jennifer Widell on Sept. 25, 1971, in Illinois. Jennifer preceded him in death on Oct. 23, 2017.
He worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a mail carrier in Des Plaines, Ill., from 1971 until he retired in 2001. He then moved to Kingsford in 2002.
Bruce enjoyed fishing and golfing as well as time spent with his family.
He is survived by one son, Erik Bray of Elgin; one sister, Barbara (Edward) Lloyd of Indian Head Park, Ill.; and two grandchildren, MacKenzie and Devyn Bray.
In accordance with Bruce’s wishes, a memorial service will be held in the spring.
