IRON MOUNTAIN — Edward J. Lovato, 75, of Iron Mountain, passed away Friday, March 13, 2020, in Arcadia, Florida, following a motorcycle accident.

He was born Jan. 28, 1945, in Chicago, son of the late William J. and Theodora (Cazzola) Lovato. Edward grew up in Norway and was a graduate of Norway High School, Class of 1963. Following graduation, he proudly served in the United States Air Force from June of 1963 until his honorable discharge in June of 1971.

Edward returned back to Norway following his time in the service. He worked as a truck driver for Hosken Tire Company and later as a police officer for Dickinson County, retiring after 32 years of service in 2004.

Edward went on to drive truck for two years with M.J. Electric and a couple of trucking companies in the area.

He enjoyed going on trips, riding his motorcycle, and especially the time spent with family and friends.

Survivors include two daughters, Jennifer Foley, Ephrata, Washington, and Stephanie (Zak) Stevens, Green Bay, Wisconsin; one brother, John (Darlene) Lovato, Iron Mountain; one sister, Linda (Paul) Monette, Stephenson; and by three grandsons and one granddaughter.
