Umberta “Berta” A. Williams

KINGSFORD — Umberta “Berta” A. Williams, 85, of Kingsford passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2020, at Evergreen Senior Living in Kingsford.

Berta was born Sept. 20, 1934, in Duino, Italy, daughter of Massimiliano and Leopolda (Leban) Leghissa.

She married James “Jim” Williams and was a homemaker who spent many years volunteering at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital and local nursing homes.

She was also a member of St. Mary Queen of Peace.

She is survived by her husband, Jim, and her nephews.

Berta was preceded in death by her adopted daughter, Patricia Williams-Milton.

Private services will be held. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Indianapolis, Ind.
