QUINNESEC — Yvonne Mary Peterson, 77, of Quinnesec, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, June 16, 2020, at her home surrounded by her family. She lived her life with a goal to get to heaven and hear, “well done my good and faithful servant.”
Yvonne was born on March 1, 1943, in Hermansville, the daughter of the late Fred and Violet (Ayotte) Poquette.
She married her beloved husband Jack Peterson on Nov. 3, 1962, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Hermansville.
Yvonne was an active member of American Martyrs Church in Kingsford. She enjoyed listening to music and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Jack; five children, Greg (Annette) Peterson, Darren (Michele) Peterson, Jackie (Gregg) Kaminski, Ben Peterson and Jesse Peterson, all of Quinnesec; two foster children, that she considered her own, Ginny Schewe and Chet Kronmuller; 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother Loren (Yvonne) Poquette; sisters, Evelyn (Jerry) Cappaert and Gail (Jim) Cater; brother-in-law, Dennis (Beth) Peterson; sisters-in-law, Luanne (Gary Ebrecht) Peterson, Harriet Poquette and Beverly Poquette; many nieces and nephews; and special friends of the family.
Yvonne was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law Omer and Eleanor Peterson; three brothers, Alfred (Rita) Poquette, Bernard Poquette and Lester Poquette; and a nephew, Jeffrey Poquette.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 18 at 11 a.m. at American Martyrs Church in Kingsford with Fr. Michael Kowalewski officiating.
Interment will follow at the Quinnesec Cemetery.
