Michael Manowski

Michael Manowski

KINGSFORD — Michael James Manowski, 50 of Kingsford, passed away late Monday evening, July 27, 2020, at the Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, with his daughter, mother, and sister, Julie, by his side.

Michael was born in Milwaukee on Oct. 1, 1969 to Mark Manowski Sr. and Carol (Bishop) Manowski.

For the past 20-plus years of his life, Michael worked as a millwright/journeyman for both United Kiser/Kiser-Hydro in Norway and Marinette Marine Fincantieri Marine Group in Marinette, Wis.

Michael got along with everyone he met and had many co-workers he considered to be great friends. Michael was a hard-working, kind-hearted, genuine soul, who was taken from us far too soon. He did everything he could for his family, especially his two children and grandson, whom he was so incredibly proud of. The love Michael had for his family was absolutely undeniable. This world has lost one amazing son, brother, father, and grandfather. Michael will be greatly missed by all, for he was truly a remarkable person.

He is survived by his mother, Carol; his four siblings: Catherine Barker, Christine Malone, Julie Kubitski, and Mark Manowski Jr.; his two children: Amber (Manowski) Fleming and John Manowski; his son-in-law, Travis Fleming; his grandson, Mason Fleming — who was Michael’s pride and joy; and his many loving nieces and nephews.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Mark Manowski Sr. and brother-in-law, Eric Barker.

“You will be forever in our hearts, Dad. We love you always.” – Amber & John.

There will be a memorial Mass held on Saturday, Aug. 8 at 1 p.m. at the Saint Mary Catholic Church, located on Main Street in Norway, with a Celebration of Life Commemorative Gathering for Michael to follow at the Marion Park Pavilion in Norway.

All are welcome to attend and share in fond memories and stories of Michael’s life, immediately following the Memorial Mass until 6 p.m.

If you’d like to make a donation to help his daughter, Amber, with all of the expenses, there will be a card box available, both at the Church and the Marion Park Pavilion. There is also a go-fund-me page available on Facebook at https://www.gofundme.com/f/funeral-expenses-for-michael-james-manowski?utm_source=customer&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_campaign=p_cf+share-flow-1

Michael did not have any life insurance, and his passing was very unexpected, so any donation would be helpful and appreciated.
