Alvin “Buzz” Colson

Buzz was born March 10, 1935, in Escanaba, the son of Hayden and Edith (Colson) Micheau. He was raised in Rock.

Buzz is survived by two sons, Alvin (Donna) Colson of Wells and Hayden (Brenda) Colson of Iron Mountain; three daughters, Barb (Terry) Johnson of Rock; Amanda Moberg of Rock; Paula (James) Malanowski of Gladstone; five brothers, Jim (Marie) Micheau of Niagara, Wis., “Bouncer” (Marla) Micheau of Washington, Marvin Micheau of Escanaba, Bruce Micheau of Washington, Wayne Micheau of Rock; three sisters, Audrey Strupp of Rock, Arlene (Eugene) Hansen of McFarland, Tina Micheau of Texas; 20 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, and wife, Buzz is preceded in death by two brothers, George and Tom Micheau.

Family will receive friends Saturday, Oct. 31, from noon until 2 p.m. at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone.

Military honors will be presented by the Rock American Legion following visiting hours. A funeral service will follow with Mary Miron officiating at the funeral home. A luncheon will follow at the Gladstone American Legion.

Buzz will be laid to rest in the Rock Cemetery.
