Jason Goudreau

EAGLE, Wis. — “Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your Master’s happiness!” Matthew 25:23

Jason Goudreau, 43, heard these words from His Savior on Monday, Sept. 28, 2020. While he will be greatly missed, his family is comforted knowing he is in the presence of Jesus and after a year-long, fearless battle with cancer, he is fully healed. He was surrounded by family at his home in Eagle, Wis.

Jason loved to laugh and always lived life with intention. When he loved you, he loved you hard. Those close to him agree; we are all a little better because Jason loved us.

Jason was born at KI Sawyer Airforce Base to Jay and Sandy Goudreau of Niagara, Wis. He is a 1995 graduate of Iron Mountain High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in police science/technology from Northern Michigan University. His career began after completing the Michigan State Police Academy. He briefly worked as a Michigan State Police officer in Warren, Mich. He finished his career at WE Energies as a system reliability supervisor.

Jason loved Christ and shared His promises with so many. He loved getting on the open road with friends on his motorcycle. He also enjoyed bird hunting, fishing, traveling to the Caribbean, volleyball, scuba-diving, and river tubing.

Jason walks eternally in front of the wife he treasured, Jamie (Holbrook), as well as his daughter, Abbagail of Castle Rock, Colo.; his parents, Jay and Sandy of Niagara; sister, Jennifer of Niagara; nephews: Joshua, Bradly, Matthew, and Nathan. He also leads the way for a special, daughter-like young woman, Kataryna Gingrass of Castle Rock.

He follows his grandparents, David and Betty Goudreau, Arlene and Francis Gordon; aunts, Pam Kitowski, Cheryl Walk, and Christine Goudreau.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. at Redemption Hill, 332 S. Carpenter Ave, Kingsford, on Saturday, Oct. 3. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those wishing to express their sympathy plant a tree or flower in remembrance of Jason.
