Wade Cornelia Sr.

AMASA — Wade Leonard Cornelia Sr., 76, of Amasa, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at Iron County Medical Care Facility in Crystal Falls.

He was born Feb. 16, 1944, in Stambaugh, son of the late Leonard and Tyyne (Tusa) Cornelia, Wade was a life long resident of Amasa and attended Amasa High School. He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Amasa and enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his wife Leanne (McGuire) of 58 years; two sons, Scott (Billie Jo Padilla) of Amasa and Wade (Teresa) Cornelia Jr. of Alpha; his daughter, Brenda (Paul Aldegarie) Campbell of Amasa; son-in-law, William (Betty Lewis) Campbell IV of Ontonagon; also surviving are his sisters, Mavourdeen (Arthur) Hendrickson of Slinger Wis. and Nina (Loren) Bennett of Crystal Falls; sisters-in-law, Iris Burns and Lavonne Gaspar; seven grandchildren, William (Mary) Campbell V, Jessica Campbell, Cody (Ashley) Campbell, Cory (Kelley) Padilla, Kodi (Eric) Berger, Marjia and Damion Cornelia; one great-grandchild, Cale Campbell; also many nieces and nephews.

Wade is preceded in death by his parents and in-laws Mike and Myrtle Mcguire.

The Cornelia family would like to thank the care given to Wade during his stay at Iron County Medical Care Facility.

A graveside service will take place at Hematite Township Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made in his memory.
