Larry Lee Faught

IRON MOUNTAIN — Larry Lee Faught, 77, of Iron Mountain, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2020, at the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain.

He was born Feb. 2, 1943, in Garrett, Ind., son of the late Leon Leroy and Madeline (Wyler) Faught. Larry grew up in Angola, Ind., and went on to serve in the United States Marine Corps.

He married Jeanine Bahr on Dec. 2, 1965 in Chicago, Ill. They resided in Chicago for two months before moving to Angola, Ind., where they resided for nine years and later moved to Powers, Mich., in 1980 and finally making their home in Iron Mountain in 2006.

Larry was employed by Engineer Machine Products in Escanaba, for a few years and retired from there in 2003.

He loved fishing, hunting, camping, the outdoors, and especially the time spent with family,

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Jean; two sons, Jeff (Valorie) Faught of Sagola, and Brian (Heather) Faught of Loretta; three daughters, Tina (Russ) McCracken of Hermansville, Stephanie (Raymond) Broeders of Norway, and Shanda (Reid) Cmejla of Bark River, Mich., two brothers, Richard (Candy) Faught of North Webster, Ind., and Robert (Belva) Faught of Wichita Falls, Texas; one sister, Karen Clause of Angola, Ind.; 23 grandchildren, 24, great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.  

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by one sister, Sharon Faught; one grandson, Mitchell Gagne; and one nephew, Benjamin Faught.

A celebration of Larry’s life will be announced in the spring.
